Curriculum Highlights at the NELC

Half Day Preschool:

• We will incorporate into our curriculum a "Saint of the Month".  We will focus on learning about the Saint and follow with special activities.  We will also include Bible storytime each week.
• During the winter, we will have two special "Snow Days" each month.  For these snow days the children will be able to enjoy some playtime outside in the backyard playground.
  

Full Day Preschool:

• We will utilize the auditorium and large motor room across the street at Nativity school. 
• This year we will continue with our Sign Language Program taught by Leah Berg and our Spanish Program taught by Nicole Feltz.
• Our parochial Vicar, Father Joe will be joining the classrooms twice a month  to read bible stories to the children.  These visits are enhanced and expanded upon as your child's teachers will be reading from the Children's Bible on a weekly basis.

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDA) hosts an innovative and interactive website for parents.  The ParentsKnow website provides resources on child development, parent education, child care and consumer safety information and includes links to MDA and other trusted websites.   www.MNParentsKnow.info

Help Me Grow Ramsey County Information

Help Me Grow Ramsey County (formerly known as Early Childhood Information and Referral of Ramsey County) is the “central intake” office for children age birth-5 when there is a concern regarding their development. Once your child is referred to our office a determination will be made for further evaluation by the appropriate school district. The early intervention evaluation team will assess your child as necessary to determine eligibility for early intervention services. www.helpmegrowramseyco.org
