The early years of our children’s lives are critical to developing their understanding and practice of ourCatholic faith. Parents are the primary faith educators for their children. We invite you to participate in the following opportunities to help you facilitate this important responsibility:
Early Catholic Family Life Program

Parents with children age infant through 5 years
This parent/child program is modeled after the highly successful Minnesota ECFE program (Early Childhood Family Education). Each session offers time for parent-child interaction as well as separate parent discussion sessions and child playgroup experiences. This program offers a wonderful opportunity to begin to pass on your Catholic faith to your children while growing in your own faith through interactions with other parents. |

| Sunday Morning Nursery |
Children aged 1-3 years old
The Nativity parish nursery is open to children ages 1-3 yrs old during the 9:30a.m. Sunday liturgy. This program offers a safe, nurturing environment for the parish’s youngest members and allow their parents the opportunity to join the parish community in worship. |

Children aged 3 years
Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church’s youngest members are invited to attend Sunday School during the 9:30a.m. Mass on Sundays during the school year. This program, provided in the school building, offers preschoolers (3 year olds) an age-appropriate introduction to the Catholic faith and allows children to reflect on the greatness of God through stories and activities. |

| Children’s Liturgy of the Word |
Children aged 4 through 7 years
Offered as part of the 9:30 Children’s Mass in Steiner Hall, young children leave the Sanctuary and gather in small groups to hear a special reflection on the Sunday Gospel in age-appropriate terms. The children return to the congregation to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist with their families. |

| Vacation Bible School |
Participants: Children ages 3 through 11 years
Volunter leaders: Youth ages 13-18 years
Adult Leaders from Nativity Parish are needed to make this a success.
Nativity Parish partners with Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and Holy Spirit Catholic Church to provide an ecumenical opportunity to play, pray and learn together. This five-day Vacation Bible School offers children the opportunity to learn more about God's love for us by exploring Bible stories through fun activities, dramatics, crafts, music and snacks.
3 year olds through first graders meet each morning for Bible Adventures. Second graders through fifth graders meet for Bible camp each morning, followed by field trips each afternoon. |
