Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church is committed to helping our youth develop a solid faith foundation rooted in Catholic principles and traditions. To facilitate this faith formation, we offer a variety of educational programs that address the faith formation needs of our parish youth.
Students who attend Nativity of Our Lord Catholic School learn these faith principles as part of the school academic curriculum. For children enrolled in other educational settings, Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church offers weekly religious formation and sacramental preparation for school-aged children. Faith Formation (CCD) |
Children in Grades 1 through 7
Nativity's faith formation curriculum is designed to help
parish youth deepen their understanding and practice of
the Catholic faith. Children meet with their peers in a
particular grade every Wednesday evening. During the one
hour sessions, participants are encouraged to participate
actively in the faith formation process through an extensive
curriculum focusing on five core areas. |

Children in Grades 2 and 7
The curriculum for second and seventh grade students emphasizes the understanding of and preparation for receiving three Sacraments that are essential to our Catholic Faith. Second graders prepare to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. Seventh graders spend the majority of the year preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation early in the eighth grade year. All Sacraments are received during parish-wide celebrations. |

Faith Tutoring |
Children in Grades 3 through 8
The parish offers special tutoring for children who have not received the Sacraments at the traditional age or grade level. Children with special needs who are more comfortable receiving personalized instruction in a smaller group also may benefit from faith tutoring. |

High School Scripture Study |
Youth in Grades 8 through 10
Designed specifically for students in junior and early senior high school, this faith enrichment opportunity invites students to read and interpret the Scriptures from a more mature perspective and guides them through the process. |

The parish youth ministry program was created to help parish youth strengthen their faith and personal spirituality through education, reflection, social activities and group service projects.
