Welcome to Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church
Where Christ is Born and Lives

Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church is a vibrant, faith-filled community located in the heart of St. Paul's Macalester-Groveland neighborhood. Founded more than 80 years ago, our parish has a rich history of ministry, worship and service.

Today, Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church is home to more than 1900 families, many of whom have worshipped and learned as part of the Nativity community for generations. While these parish families represent a strong, continuous thread in our parish history, new individuals and families are welcomed and encouraged to join our parish community as we serve the Lord through worship and prayer, service to others and social activities.

Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church thrives on three pillars of faith: Celebration of the Sacraments, devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and a commitment to a sound, faith-based education rooted in traditional Catholic teachings.

Our parish includes a large, highly-regarded school with approximately 800 students, an Early Learning Center serving more than 200 families, a variety of adult education and faith formation opportunities and a pervasive spirit of volunteerism.

Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church is considered one of the architectural gems of the Archdiocese. Featuring traditional Gothic architecture including a high, vaulted ceiling, intricately detailed Sanctuary, striking jewel-toned windows and intimate side altars, the structure offers the perfect setting for worshipping the Lord and celebrating our Catholic faith.

Our parish community adheres to traditional Catholic practices and is known for its rich liturgical celebrations and devotion to the Sacraments, particularly the Eucharist. The Blessed Sacrament receives special reverence through our Perpetual Adoration program initiated more than a decade ago.

We hope that you find a home at Nativity and take the time to enter fully into the many facets of this faith community. This web site offers access to information on the parish's many facets and opportunities to become an active member of the Nativity of Our Lord parish community. Follow the Spirit's urging to explore your faith, expand your personal spirituality and meet new people involved in building God's kingdom here on earth.
