Prayer Opportunties at Nativity of Our Lord Parish Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church offers many opportunities for personal spiritual growth, including exposition of the Eucharist. Our Eucharistic Chapel provides a peaceful setting in which to deepen your relationship with God while meditating on the sacrifice of our Lord. All parishioners are encouraged to spend time in prayer in the Eucharistic Chapel. Nativity began Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration on May 1, 1994. Since then, the Eucharist has been revered continually. The Eucharistic Chapel, located on the east side of the church, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for private prayer. The Eucharist is reposed (covered) only while Mass is being celebrated as the Mass is a communal celebration of this special Sacrament. Over the years, hundreds of parishioners and the faithful from surrounding parishes have come to our chapel to pray before the Blessed Sacrament and receive the grace that comes from being in His presence Through His Eucharistic Heart, He says, "Do not let your hearts be troubled" and "You are precious to me." There are many ways to spend time in the Adoration Chapel which will help you become closer to God. Some parishioners:
Nativity Prayer Line The Nativity Prayer Line is a group of people who take prayer requests from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and from 6:00-7:00 p.m. It has been a source of comfort, grace and healing for many years. If you have a prayer request call Mary Kay McQuade at (651) 454-7431 or Bette Hoffman at (651) 699-8249, and they will begin the prayer chain by calling the first person on the prayer list. They in turn call the next person on their list. Each person makes only one call but the cumulative effect is tremendous. |
