Baptism The Sacrament of Baptism is the first of the Catholic Church's three Sacraments of Initiation. It celebrates God's loving embrace and welcomes new members of His Church into the fullness of life with Christ. The majority of parishioners baptized at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church are infants and young children. To make the experience as meaningful as possible for their families, at least one parent is asked to attend a 90-minute preparation class before their first child is baptized at Nativity. Of course, both parents and godparents are encourage to attend. The baptism class requirement must be completed prior to requesting a date for baptism. At least one Godparent must be a practicing Catholic, at least 16 years of age and confirmed in the Catholic Church. A person of another Christian faith may stand as a witness.
To register for the baptismal class and the Sacrament of Baptism, please call the Lannan Parish Center at 696-5401. If you are seeking the Sacrament of Baptism as an adult, contact Randy Mueller at the Parish Center . (651) 696-5454.
