The Holy Eucharist

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life. With great clarity, the Second Vatican Council's Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (par. 47) taught: "At the Last Supper, on the night he was betrayed, our Savior instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of his body and blood. He did this to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the centuries until he should come again, and so to entrust to his beloved spouse, the Church, a memorial of his death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a paschal banquet in which Christ is received, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future life is given to us".

The priests and parishioners of Nativity of Our Lord Parish have a great love and devotion for the Eucharist which is evident in the hundreds of parishioners who attend daily Mass and attend one of the six Masses offered each weekend. Nativity's liturgical celebrations of the Holy Eucharist are enhanced by the beautiful Sanctuary, wonderful choir and active involvement of parishioners. In addition, Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church offers parishioners the opportunity to adore the Blessed Sacrament in its Perpetual Adoration Chapel, located on the east side of its main sanctuary, every day, 24 hours a day.
