Time, Talent and Treasure

As disciples of Christ, we are called to be stewards of our Faith - to help further the Church's mission by generously sharing the gifts He has given us.

Stewardship - sharing God's gifts - is fundamental to our faith. As stewards, we are asked to make a commitment to financially support the Church's work and to offer our time and talents.

Time, Talent…

There are many ways to become involved at Nativity Parish. Volunteering your time and talent is a great way to contribute to Nativity while building life-long relationships with other parishioners. Our parish relies on hundreds of volunteers each year to support our programs and special events. The Nativity County Fair, hospitality for funeral luncheons, and those that help maintain the beauty of our Church are just a few of the many opportunities parishioners have to volunteer their time and talents to strengthen our parish community.

Please consider volunteering your time to help Nativity Catholic Church and School remain a strong and vital community. Click here to download a volunteer form.

…and Treasure

Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church depends on the generosity of its parishioners to fulfill its mission to serve God and act as His servants on earth. Some of the ways that parishioners can support the parish financially include:

Annual Parish Stewardship Drive (November)

At Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, the stewardship program is the lifeblood of our parish. It pays for all operating expenses - from heat and electricity to salaries and health benefits…from musicians and liturgical aids to the beautiful gardens that welcome us. Stewardship funds allow the parish to serve all of its members, including the elderly, the poor and the isolated. They also provide the means to teach and preach God's Word to those who need to hear it.

In short, stewardship keeps Nativity's doors open and its programs moving forward. All parishioners are asked to help support our parish mission by committing a specific financial donation each year. It is our fervent hope that all parishioners - whether new to the parish or a member of the parish for decades - approach their annual stewardship commitment carefully. Your commitment reflects the blessings that the parish offers you and your family and your personal reasons for choosing the Nativity faith community.

As the Lord tells us, it is in giving that we receive. May you receive his many blessings for the gifts of time, talent and treasure you have so graciously shared with Nativity.

Memorials and Gifts to Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church and Parish Community

The Nativity Scholarship Fund

The Nativity Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to families who need support to send their children to Nativity School . The scholarship program is funded exclusively by the generosity of our parishioners who donate to the fund through gifts, memorials and fundraising events. The Nativity Men's Club also supports the Scholarship Fund as part of its mission to improve opportunities for parish youth,

Annual fundraising events include an annual fund drive in December, A Taste for Learning in June, the Mother's Day and Father's Day tributes and other special memorial gift giving opportunities throughout the year.

Cars with Heart

"Donate your vehicle and help drive Nativity's future" is an appropriate theme for this program that allows parishioners to donate used vehicles which are in turn sold to generate revenue for the parish. Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church accepts automobiles, trucks, fleet vehicles, vans, boats, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, and RV's through the donation program.

Contact the Lannan Parish Center at 651/696-5401 for more information or to discuss donating a vehicle to this program.

Gifts of Stock

Nativity is pleased to accept stock donations as a form of stewardship payment or as a special gift to our parish. Please contact Laura Barr, Nativity's business administrator, for further information regarding this type of contribution at 651/696-5401.

Memorial Fund

The Memorial Fund was established to purchase chalices, vestments and other liturgical items for the church. Please use the envelope marked "Memorial Fund" from your stewardship envelope box if you would like to make a donation.
