I am very pleased to announce that two religious sisters from the order of the Handmaids of the Heart of Jesus will be coming to work in our School and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program, beginning this fall.
My name is Ian Willnerd, and I am Nativity of Our Lord’s teaching parish seminarian. Throughout my ongoing four years of theology at the St. Paul seminary, I will be learning about parish ministry from Fr. Tollefson right here at Nativity.
Our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program is looking for more hands and hearts to serve as both catechists and assistants for a couple of hours per week, from late September through mid-May.
I could not be more excited to serve you as your next Associate Pastor, under the leadership of Fr. Rolf Tollefson, a priest I have admired and enjoyed for nearly two decades.
Youth ministry is a passion of mine and I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to volunteer over the last several years. This summer, I will join the parish staff as the new Assistant Director of Faith Formation - Small Group and Youth Ministry.
It became clear that God’s plan for me was here at Nativity as Parish Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator. I look forward to getting to know everyone better, and to using my talents to give back to the parish that has already given me so much.
I am the new Assistant Director of Discipleship - Faith Formation and am so excited to be a part of Nativity of Our Lord. I look forward to meeting you!
Having surpassed nine months with you now, let me tell you what a great grace it is to be serving Christ with you here at Nativity of Our Lord, and offer an update on the implementation of the One Nativity 2035 strategic planning as it relates to our mission.
Adoration will expand to include Thursdays from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, beginning this Thursday, April 25. Thank you to all who volunteered to make it possible!
Fr. Bill Duffert will lead Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bloomington beginning July 1, and Fr. John Paul Erickson will take over as Parochial Vicar (Associate Pastor) on July 20.
Fraudulent texts claiming to come from "Fr. Rolf Tollefson" are again being delivered to parishioners with the intent to confuse, manipulate, and steal. Please be on guard!
Videos are being viewed in small group meetings and are now also available for anyone else who wants to learn about prayer — whether they're brand new to an intentional prayer life, or seasoned vets.
We are expanding our Donut Sunday weekends to be our official Welcome Weekends, and we want all parishioners to make time to stay after Mass to meet new parishioners, and become better acquainted with everybody else.
The Minnesota House of Representatives Public Safety Committee will be voting on a bill to legalize physician-assisted suicide, with a hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, at 10:30 AM. Read from the head of Nativity of Our Lord's Respect Life Committee about what's at stake.
Longtime parishioner and artist Joshua Cunningham painted our historic parish church on the occasion of its 100-year anniversary. The original image now hangs in our Heritage Room.
Here is the plan for the entire Lenten Series on Prayer from our Pastor, Fr. Rolf Tollefson. Videos will viewed in small group meetings and will also be available for anyone else who wants to learn about prayer — whether they're brand new to an intentional prayer life, or seasoned vets.
The stained glass has all been re-installed and is looking great! All that remains to be done is to remove the lift from the church and reinstall the pews. If all goes well, the church should be back to normal by Wednesday. Thank you for your continued patience!

The second year seminarians of St. John Vianney traveled to Denver to learn homeless ministry with Christ in the City. Read a recap from Brennan and watch a video he produced, including onsite (and drone!) footage.
