My name is Taylor Croissant and I am the new Assistant Director of Discipleship - Faith Formation for Nativity.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to grow up all over the world, from the east coast to Vietnam at various points in my life.
I graduated high school in Southern California and completed a B.S. in Biochemistry and Neuroscience at the University of Minnesota. I also have a M.S. in Molecular Biology focused on cancer research.
As a convert to Catholicism, I was received into the church during the Easter Vigil in 2013 at the Basilica of Saint Mary. Since then, I have been very involved with the Basilica in liturgical ministry and faith formation with adults. My own prior experience with entering the Church lead me to a great love for catechesis.
In February of 2023, I started a Masters of Arts in Theology at the Saint Paul Seminary. It has been an incredible joy to learn more about the specifics of our faith. Given my scientific background, I have a particular love of the intersection between faith and science. I hope to finish my degree this fall.
Outside of my work, I own a small hobby farm in Cambridge Minnesota and I am training for Ironman Italy in September. My favorite saint is Saint Irenaeus because I genuinely love reading Adversus Haereses. I can also usually be found reading too much and making homemade pasta.
I am so excited to be a part of Nativity and look forward to meeting more members of the parish in the near future!
